There could be a whole website dedicated to documenting all the insane hatred towards Clarence Thomas. It is as clear an example as there ever will be of which side in America is hate filled. If half the things said about Clarence Thomas were said about Barack Obama it would be a national outrage.
Here is a great example:
The Root posted a list of 21 “Black folks [they would] remove from history.” The list is composed of mass murderers, notorious criminals, moronic celebrities, and Clarence Thomas. It is sad that some people who share Clarence Thomas’s skin color want him removed from their history. Since ideas are more important than skin color, I’m proud to have him as a part of my history.
Donald Trump is Donald Trump. This may be the biggest oversight Tim Wise commits in his latest column, next to viewing nearly every criticism about the president as racist. Clearly, most of the things that come from Trump’s mouth are meant to get attention. He is good at it; it’s basically his job. Likewise, Wise’s job is to interpret whatever is getting attention as racism. Wise is good at this too, which is why he is one of the most popular racialists.
The idiotic claims Trump makes, like Obama possibly not being born in the US, are framed in racial terms by Wise. Wise explains why this particular conspiracy theory is actually racist:
A racialist is a person who interprets events in terms of race. They don’t simply look at incarceration rates, they look for the divide of incarceration rates between races. They don’t simply look at income rates, they look at the discrepancy of income rates between races. And after drawing this divide they think they have exposed some secret of race relations in America. So why has dividing abortion rates by race infuriated the racialists?
